Quezon City, October 25 – Quezon City will host the most anticipated Pride Parade this year. The pride and diversity of Filipino Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transgender (LGBT) community will be celebrated over the course of one month culminating with the annual Pride Parade on December 7 at Quezon Memorial Circle. 


This years’ Pride Celebration dubbed as the Quezon City World Pride Festival features Metro Manilas’ gay and straight business community, non-profit organizations, LGBT service agencies, civic groups, LGBT organizations, LGBT churches and individuals willing to show their pride and support to the community. 

The one month festival will kick off with “Ilog Mo, Ilog Ko, Buhay Ko” a creek clean up drive at San Francisco Creek, Barangay Del Monte on November 9 from 7AM-12NN. 

 An LGBT Summit targeted to about 300 LGBT and its allies will be held at Amoranto Stadium on November 16, 2013. The Summit will also include HIV awareness, Free Testing and Counseling. 

To cater the needs of our art enthusiast, an ART EXHIBIT will be open to public this November 18-22, at the Quezon City Inner Hall and will be participated in by more than 20 artists. A film fest dubbed as “InQCity Independent Pride Film Festival” will run from November 27- December 3 at select Cinemas in TriNoma. . 

With the theme ‘Celebration of Love’, the World Pride Festival will culminate on December 7 with a Pride Parade and an Awards Night that will give recognition to exemplary individuals that help shaped the face of LGBT in the country. Spearheaded by the Quezon City Pride Council, the World Pride Festival is a testament of the city’s commitment in upholding the rights of all Filipinos including the Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transgender (LGBT) community.
