It’s been a while that I spare myself from the hideous hustle of a busy city, of a busy lifestyle and of a life full of work and pressure and deadlines!

Thus, I decided to embark on a journey I called freedom! To a place where no boss nor colleagues could distract you from enjoying. To some place where temptations of checking you email is scarce and to where silence and a picturesque landscape will preoccupy your eyes from checking your phone for sms!

The resort is located at the foot of Mount Malindang National Park. It is covered with green vegetation and pristine forest. It is a place where nature give it's full beauty and splendor. A place so magnificent to call your own.

This splendid work of nature is located at Tuburan, Mahayag in the province of Zamboanga del Sur. Its a two hour ride from Ozamiz City and is accessible either from the town of Molave or from Mahayag's town proper itself.

Tuburan comes from the word 'tubod' which is a local term for spring. The place is so abundant with freezing cold spring water thus the local name it that way.

Few years back, I have witnessed the marvelous transformation of this small barangay into what it became a tourist spot nowadays.

With the advent of technology and accessible farm to market roads, the place became open to tourist from Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Cebu and even as far as Manila and Luzon.

The resort takes particular pride in shaping its natural wonder. Mountain slopes are maximized by putting up terraced like cottages and natural spring water are kept in its natural river-like descent on top of maintaining its lush greenery and tropical surroundings.

From small groups to a huge convention, the resort has a place for you!

Few years ago, I have witnessed how this small barrio transformed itself into  magnificent paradise. Humans, indeed took advantage on mother natures natural gift and used it to their advantage.

In contrary though, these developments are our sole refuge whenever we missed nature or even during times when we miss our old selves. A paradise that teaches us how to appreciate nature and its wonders.

We can only hope that we can have more of these wonders shall stay for the future of humankind.
